Delta Dental of Oklahoma (DDOK) has repeatedly appeared on the list of Best Places to Work in Oklahoma, most recently placing first in the small/medium businesses category for 2020. DDOK has been ranked in the top three (3) since 2018.
Beacon Award
Delta Dental of Oklahoma’s (DDOK) philanthropic work has repeatedly earned our organization recognition from The Journal Record via their Beacon Award program:
- Finalist of Philanthropic Impact category for medium business (2020); for DDOK’s contribution to its MouthScience™ program, a 40-minute classroom-style course geared toward third, fourth, fifth and sixth grade students
- Winner of Philanthropic Impact category for medium business (2017); for DDOK’s contribution to its Delta Dental Cavity Prevention Clinic, a school-based program which provides dental sealants to second and sixth grade students in low-income schools
- Winner of Charitable Influence category for medium business (2016); for corporate and employee volunteer support of the annual Oklahoma Mission of Mercy (OkMOM), a two-day free dental clinic for Oklahomans in need
- Finalist of Philanthropic Impact category for medium business (2016); for supporting Good Shepherd Ministries dental clinic, which serves uninsured Oklahomans
- Winner of Philanthropic Impact category for small business (2010); for DDOK Foundation’s $1.4 million in contributions to support dental health and education programs statewide
OCCA Champion of Health Award

Delta Dental of Oklahoma has contributed more than $4.6 million to support brick and mortar clinics providing vital care to Oklahomans in need through its Foundation.
OU Seed Sower Society
The Delta Dental of Oklahoma Foundation was inducted into the University of Oklahoma’s Seed Sower Society in 2010, in recognition for more than $1 million in donations to the university’s dentistry program.
Delta Dental of Oklahoma continues to support the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry and its outreach and educational programs with annual grants through our Foundation.
Haught Award for Charitable Dentistry
Delta Dental of Oklahoma President and CEO John Gladden became the first non-dental professional to win the Dr. Richard Haught Charitable Dentistry Award from the Oklahoma Dental Foundation recently. He was cited for his work to improve the delivery of benevolent dentistry to Oklahomans.
