Delta Dental of Oklahoma is a not-for-profit company that prides itself on giving back to the community. We follow the mantra: If the need is great, the giving must be greater.
Delta Dental of Oklahoma employees carry that spirit of giving even further by volunteering to work at free dental clinics and oral health education events.
Oklahoma Mission of Mercy
The annual OkMOM event is a two-day free dental clinic, in which anyone who attends is provided free dental work. The event, now in its seventh year, is the largest free dental clinic event in state history, treating as many as 2,000 patients.
The event is also unique in that it is totally run by volunteers, including many Delta Dental of Oklahoma employees. While dental professionals donate treatment, volunteers such as DDOK employees are relied upon to assist the orderly flow of patients through registration, treatment and exit.

Remote Area Medical
When Stan Brock of “Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom” fame organized the first RAM events, they were in foreign jungles and underdeveloped countries. But he soon found the need for massive, mobile medical and dental treatment events on American soil.
The RAM event stops in Oklahoma every other year, and DDOK employees volunteer to assist.
