Training Programs and Finance Services
Delta Dental of Oklahoma is one of the most trusted names in Oklahoma dentistry. We strive to provide dental practices with support services to make your business stronger. Our Provider Relations team offers OSHA and HIPAA training, as well as a course to acclimate practices to our Health through Oral Wellness® (HOW®) enhanced benefits.
Our specialized training programs for dental professionals provide up-to-date information on HIPAA, OSHA and HOW. Training courses are now available online and in-person. All of the trainings outlined below provide Category B Continuing Education (CE) credit for dentists and hygienists who participate.
Fulfill your annual training requirements with one of our ‘Safety Doesn’t Happen by Accident’ OSHA training courses. Choose from our condensed two (2) hour course or our expanded four (4) hour course. Both courses are comprehensive and interactive trainings that cover the five (5) standards required by OSHA for dental offices:
Our ‘Basics and Beyond’ HIPAA course is a three (3) hour collaborative training that arms you and your staff with information to help safeguard your practice and protect your patients’ rights. This course provides an in-depth look at the current Privacy and Security Rules and several other topics relevant to your dental practice.
Health through Oral Wellness® (HOW®) is available to subscribers and their dependents in more than 8,500 fully-insured Delta Dental of Oklahoma groups. Our one (1) hour course introduces practice staff to the clinical assessment tool approved to determine if an eligible member is able to receive additional preventive benefits. Additional information regarding HOW is available here.
Welcome to the P.A.N.D.A. (Prevent Abuse and Neglect through Dental Awareness) Continuing Education Program offered by Delta Dental of Oklahoma. The program aims to help dentists recognize the signs of child abuse and neglect and inform them of proper reporting procedures. Please read the following PANDA PDF presentation and complete the brief 10-question post test.
Individuals submitting the post-test will receive a certificate of completion acknowledging their participation. This program qualifies for one hour of C.D.E. by the Board of Dentistry, as well as by most other dental organizations (e.g. - the Academy of General Dentistry). Individuals will need to report the C.D.E. through their online account with the Board of Dentistry to receive the C.D.E. credit.
