Delta Dental of Oklahoma Foundation and the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry (OUCOD) have partnered for Kids’ Day on Saturday, Feb. 25, offering no-cost dental care to children ages 4 to 12.

Kids’ Day is an annual event that serves the community by reaching children unlikely to have access to dental care. Under supervision of trained dentists and OUCOD faculty members, dental students will provide free dental services including cleanings, fillings and crowns.

“Fostering good oral hygiene habits, including visits to the dentist, is key to helping kids in our state prioritize oral health throughout their lives,” Delta Dental of Oklahoma President and CEO John Gladden said. “We are proud to partner with the OU College of Dentistry on Kids’ Day and many other endeavors aimed at advancing our parallel missions: to improve the oral health of all Oklahomans.”

The annual Kids’ Day event began 24 years ago and initially targeted the Oklahoma City metro area, but now has statewide reach and is expected to serve more than 100 children this year.
